I cannot remember my birth. How does it happen in hypnosis?
The subconscious mind is the library of everything that happens to you through your life. Subconscious protects you to remember everything, because it’s just too much for your conscious mind to remember, and maybe some of it was traumatic. We have to work through it for closure or whatever reason you have to do so. When you relax deeply in hypnosis, the hypnotherapist can assist your subconscious mind to remember what is necessary. Yes, many people think it is impossible, but it is not impossible at all.
No matter what habits you invited in before, you can replace the subconscious thoughts that contributed to their unwanted presence. When you begin to see a change in your world, you know you are matching the new thoughts. The human mind is very powerful, and what you think about will match what you manifest.
What will “come out”?
It is important to address the issue the client wants to address. Many people are afraid of what may come out while in hypnosis. If the client relives / observes the trauma again, it is important to know that the trauma is over, and that it is a distant memory. This time you’re older, wiser, more experienced, and you are not alone. It can never be as bad as when it really happened. Important is to know that the goal of reliving / observing previous experiences is to reframe them and change to positive thoughts, emotions and behaviour in the future. To go into regression and relive traumatic experiences and memories is also to use them as learning experiences. It’s all part of personal development and improvement.
Is it better to go into a deeper hypnotic state?
It has nothing to do with a deep hypnotic state or not. Deep hypnosis sessions are not even necessary. We can do anything in a light hypnotic state also. The level of the hypnotic state doesn’t have any effect on the success rate of a hypnotic session.
Can one get stuck in hypnosis?
There is no evidence that anyone can get stuck in hypnosis. The worst that can happen is that you fall asleep and wake up not hypnotised anymore! There is a study undertaken where the participants become hypnotised after which the hypnotist left the room under the pretext that there is a problem to which he must attend. The participant is then watched for his /her reaction (without his / her knowledge) to see what happens. The results in all these cases were that the participants spontaneously woke up.
Can a person be hypnotised against his / her will?
All hypnosis is really self-hypnosis. You must want to be hypnotised before going into hypnosis. You will only allow yourself to be hypnotised when you want to be hypnotised. You will never allow yourself to be hypnotised against you will, or without your permission. You will only ever go into hypnotic state when it is safe and appropriate for you to do so. This is very important. The hypnotist cannot hypnotise you. It is your own decision. In hypnosis you retain control over your ability to respond to suggestions.
Does Medical Hypnoanalysis only address the symptoms?
Medical Hypnoanalysis makes it possible for the hypnotherapist to assist the subconscious mind to find the origin of the problem, solve it and learn to think in a different way about life in the future. You do not have to go to the hypnotherapist for the rest of your life after the MHA process is completed. Medical Hypnoalalysis doesn’t only address the symptoms.
Hypnosis is for the client to discover the truth, not for the hypnotherapist. The client has the choice to tell the therapist or not. Some clients will tell the hypnotherapist what happened during the session. Others will not. You do not even need the hypnotherapist to tell you what happened. A hypnotherapist will be able to help you, even if you tell him / her what happened or not. Remember: Hypnosis is for you to discover the truth, not ?the therapist.
Does the hypnotherapist take control over the mind of the person in hypnosis?
A hypnotherapist cannot take control over the person, because the fact is that the hypnotised person is always in control. A person decides to allow it or not. A person even decides how deep into hypnotic state he / she wants to go. The person is not under the control of the hypnotherapist. There is one very good reason why we have a subconscious mind. That reason is to protect us. When in hypnotic trance, subconscious is in control. Thus, the person is actually in super control? of him / herself during the session. A hypnotherapist cannot force any person to disclose information against his / her will.
Who are the most subject to hypnosis?
People believe that if you are a control freak with a very strong will, you could not be hypnotised easily, and that only people with a weak will power could be hypnotised easily. Interesting is that people with a strong will, as well as intelligent and creative people are very good candidates for hypnosis. I’ve experienced in my practice many control freaks to be hypnotised quickly and easily.
Is hypnosis the work of the devil?
As everyone on earth have experienced hypnosis in the form of daydreaming, or driving / walking from one place to the other without remembering how you got there exactly, it is a natural God-given talent, which can be used positively in the person’s best interest. People believe that the devil can get power over you when you’re in hypnosis. It is simply not true. The Bible tells us that God protect us at all times. How can the devil be stronger than God in something like hypnosis? If you believe in God you may choose to go into hypnosis under the protection of His blood, and then no other power can come over you.
